Today we ordered our costumes online. We are all going to be Marvel characters, although I ordered a Captain America tank dress since I don't feel like dressing up too much this year. I also made some rice krispys with the left over cereal and so I molded them into different Halloween themed shapes. I made a cat for myself and I used M&Ms for the eyes and nose. I'm probably going to make the rest and fill up the goodies bags for the family with homemade treats!
MOVIES FOR A HALLOWEEN MOVIE NIGHT:
1. Nightmare Before Christmas.
I don't even have to say anything about this movie. Just look at his face. Plus my son loves this movie, can I hear a woot woot?!
2. Paranorman
Another family favorite in my house. It is an adorable movie and I as an adult think it's worthy of being watched during a Halloween movie marathon. Who doesn't like animated movies and zombies?
3. Classics like The Exorcist, Pet Sematary, and Poltergeist.
Classic horror movies are a good go to for Halloween movie nights. There's something about the old school makeup and special effects that are unsettling.
4. Grave Encounters
This found-footage style movie is a doozy. People with distorted faces, shadows, that eerie green night vision color of the movie. Nope.
5. Insidious & The Conjuring
While both movies are separate stories on their own, they are directed by the same guy. Both have, literally, the scariest sound effects/music in any currently released horror movie. The music alone gives me chills. Along with the music, you have jump scares, awkward peek-a-boo moments where you see something in the corner of the screen but the character doesn't, and creepy characters. All in all, they are both interesting and spooky to watch.
What are some of your favorite spook movies?
