Inspired by an interview of Steven Yeun here "What Scares Steven Yeun Stiff", I decided to my own
spooky questionnaire!
Spook Questionnaire
Movie: Stephen King's IT, I think it's a pretty common answer. I watched the movie at a pretty young age and that night my brother's friend brought over a small clown statue they bought for my birthday (because I was into cute circus things). Scary. I honestly have too many movies that have truly scared me but this one, I can not watch.
Book: Definitely the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. It was a love-hate relationship because I loved reading books as a kid and since it was a series, I had to read all of them. The illustrations were horrifying. I remember one story, the character was at home alone and they heard footsteps from upstairs. The picture was of the "intruder's" feet sinking into the floor/ ceiling (for the character downstairs).
TV Show: Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark and MTV's Fear. Both are older shows that are no longer running but to this day, I can remember how scary they were.
Dream: (This will be a post on it's own!)
Object: I was cooking Italian sausage one night for dinner and I didn't have enough water in the pot to simmer so it made the sausage packaging rip open and it looked like something out of a sci-fi movie. The packaging split in the middle and folded over the sides and the insides bubbled up. Utterly disgusting and horrifying to watch happen.
Character from a movie/ tv show: Victorian women, or women in old time clothing like it Dead Silence, The Woman in Black, and the Conjuring. There is something just tragic about them and the high collars on their dresses...spooky.
Hope you enjoyed reading some of my answers. :)
What are some of yours?
