October has been upon us for about 2 weeks now and can I say that I am NOT over the pumpkin spiced everything yet. I mean really! Anyone who really knows me knows that I LIVE for the holiday season. The festive decorations, well needed family time, and the food!
For Halloween, since this our first real holiday at our new place, I decided to instead of buying decorations, why not break out the good ole cardboard again (see kiddie craft: cardboard drawing) and make it a craft day. My tiny human likes to paint and has found a new amazement for holiday specials on tv. I decided we could make a door decoration and big jack o' lantern seemed fitting. I cut out little ghost and pumpkin shapes for him to paint while I myself cut out a huge pumpkin and face pieces to go with it.
Let me say, crafting with your child has got to be one of the most amazing yet frustrating things you could possibly do with a child at such a young age. Hence, the little pieces for him to paint on. Always keep the child involved and having fun, all awhile keeping YOUR craft out of reach ;)
