Thankful Tuesday

Thanksgiving is right around the corner!  I know, I know.  I'm so early on this and we still have a whole month left but I just can't wait.  (I told you...I am a holiday queen!)  Every Tuesday for this month is going to be a thankful post where I write about anyone or anything that I am thankful for.

This first post is going to be about my family and friends.  Without my family, I would die.  They are my everything.  My husband is my best friend.  While we have our differences, we have so many things in common as well.  He's a good balance for me.  I tell him time and time again that he has saved me.  Saved me from the lonely path I was heading down because after my experience with THAT one guy I felt worthless and I had a terrible time seeing myself out of it.  He built me up so I could start to see the beauty in myself and therefore I saw more of him.  Together we have our dearest tiny human.  Our baby boy.  He is my heart and soul.  He as well keeps me grounded.  He makes me relive my childhood so I can provide him with the same one.  The one full of magic and wonder.  He has made me much stronger as well.  My family and my in-laws, I see as one big family.  My parents are incredible.  I am their child but when things go wrong or someone takes advantage of them, I do not back down even if my husband is the one who said something.  They work so hard every day for us and for that I could not feel more in debt to them, thankful, and hopeful that I am making them proud everyday.  My brothers and sisters all have their own separate lives going on. We are all spread across the states and keeping in touch is hard to do.   They are never out of my heart though and that's what is important to remember.  Friends as well!  I may not talk to my friends every day but they should know how much I root for them and smile at all of their adventures.  Growing up sucks for the most part when it comes to friendships because you just don't have the time in the day to keep up with every single one of them everyday.  The friends I have, I'm trying to be better with keeping in touch and making plans when I come home.  I am vowing to be better!  Finally, my in-laws are awesome people.  Since day one they have made me feel welcomed and appreciated.  They are not blood, but I treat them the same I do my own family.

Be thankful for all of the loving people you have in your life.  We are social creatures after all and when you have a tight circle of people that respect you, care for you, you have to see them as... important.  You have to see yourself as lucky.
